Max's claim to fame is that, even though is is large(63 pounds) and looks a little intimidating, he's just a big marshmallow when it comes to cats. He's easygoing, friendly, and playful with cats, dogs, and teenagers but has no experience with young children. He wants to play with dogs he meets during walks and at the dog park. He has lots of energy and enjoys car rides, fetch, running, toys, walks, and water. He's very active and playful. He wants to lead while on a leash. While off leash, he might wander away but will come back if you call him. He is house trained and always had free roam of the house without ever getting into trouble. But he is tempted to race out the door when given the chance. When he needs to go out, he'll stand at the door. He's smart and knows the sit, stay, come, no, and down commands. He is protective of his home and family. He is used to sleeping on the couch. He is affectionate and makes himself at home on a lap and wants to be petted. He was given up because he wasn't allowed to live where his family moved. Please offer lovable Max the home and family he needs. (tw 4/16/2024)
